Billy Chan is appointed Chief Executive Officer of AXA General Insurance Hong Kong Limited with effect from 1 March 2010. He replaces Victor Kuk who has taken up the role of Chief Executive Officer, Greater China & South East Asia since 1 February 2010.

“I congratulate Billy on his new appointment,” said Victor Kuk. “I am confident that under his leadership, AXA General Insurance Hong Kong will reinforce its leading position on the motor insurance market and accelerate its development in commercial and health business lines to becoming the preferred company of the industry."

Billy has taken up the role as Chief Operating Officer of AXA General Insurance Hong Kong since July 2007. He has been responsible for the company's operations as well as working closely with the distribution networks to drive growth and profit of the business.

Billy joined the company in 1985 and has 25 years of industry experience in all major classes of general insurance business. He managed various business units in the company and has accumulated extensive technical expertise and leadership skills.
