Under the Employees' Compensation Ordinance as legalised by the Hong Kong SAR Government, an employer must compensate his/her employees for any accident arising out of and in the course of the employees' employment, regardless of whether the employees' carelessness has caused the accident.

Employer's liability benefit of the Employees' Compensation Insurance covers you, as an employer, against your Common Law liability up to $100 million for any one event. Other additional benefits such as medical expenses, loss of wages, permanent disablement benefit and repatriation expenses following the employee's death, injury or illness are also available.

The Ordinance also applies to domestic helpers. The employer is also obliged to effect a similar Employees' Compensation insurance for the domestic helper. For this purpose, we have:
